As an artist who works in health & community settings, my role is sentient, to communicate as I embrace the potentials of, sites of practice for an immersive experience, collaborative critical thinking, artistic responses & outcomes that enhance living in both design & art contexts. This is a socially alert practice for durational specific interactions, particularly for older participants, with partnerships and an evolving collective of professionals to initiate spaces for the artist and the community by advocating the role of place in cultural engagement. I have collaboratively programmed and created with Offaly County Council, the Dublin Mid-Leinster HSE, Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, Anam Beo, Offaly’s Arts & Health Organisation, Irish Wheelchair Association, care centres, diverse community groups, The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Irish Rail, Age and Opportunity and Offaly Public Participation Network. In the background persistently advocating for a purpose built Community Arts Centre, a creative hub for all in our wider community.

Recent work includes the design and management of an artists in the community project 'Activate...a conscious place for self, as an artist, a creative and a community member', the Get Togethers, A Creative Charter with Artist Rowena Keaveny and residency in MRHT, Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore with staff from Physio, Catering, Xray and the Renal Unit. With the Offaly Public Participation Network & active age groups I curated a participatory project & resulting exhibitions 'Notions' and 'Solos' for Bealtaine. 'Got it?' was a collaboration with Rowena Keaveny and the OPPN, a Community Foundation for Ireland Advocacy for Older People Health literacy project which is being exhibited and disseminated through regional libraries in 2019. I am a member of the recently formed Offaly Disability Equality Network. In 2017, made a creative short film & documentary on composer Karen Power's 'Sonic Pollinators' with Quiet Music Ensemble, an environmental project commissioned by funding from Creative Ireland.

I have extensive arts facilitating experience in care settings and college applied arts courses. Following NCAD in 1994 she attended the Royal college of Art in London for an MA in Applied Arts and then trained as an art and design facilitator - Hammersmith and Fulham Community College to work with groups & individuals. She has participated in many exhibitions, publications, community art and design projects and has worked with the music and fashion industry in London with awards and commissions from major companies and in private collections such as Rolls Royce.
